Passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 4, 2012 at the age of 89 years. George was predeceased by his parents Peter and Felicia; Brothers Joseph, Henry, Peter and John; Sisters Adeline Gartner, Flora Krassman, Mary Benz, Betty Schmidt and Irene Selinger. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 56 years Harriet and their two sons Colin (Brenda) and Darryl (Martha); grandchildren Adam, Melissa, Amanda, Matthew, Wesley and Kevin; Brother Eugene and Sister Phyllis Hamann Sisters-in-law Mona Gartner and Leona Gartner; Sister and Brother-in-law Claire and Melvin Sloat as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at the Victoria Avenue Funeral Home, 2080 East Victoria Avenue, Regina from 7 P.M. to 8 P.M. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at 11:30 A.M. at Holy Cross RC Church, 315 Douglas Avenue East. Interment will follow at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery.
