 Obituario de Geraldine Kay
Geraldine Faye Kay April 3,1969 - May 2, 2022 The Kay family are saddened announce the sudden passing of their dearly loved sister, mother, aunt and grandmother. We ask for your prayers at this difficult time. Geraldine Kay was predeceased by her grandparents and her loving mother and father, Maryanne (Dustyhorn) Kay and Michael Joseph Kay; and by her brothers and sisters: Sanford, Marlene, Dianne, Jerry, Seraphine, Eugene, Karen, Rachel, Patricia, and Remy. Also, waiting to greet her in the Spirit world is her loving life partner of sixteen years Gary Dustyhorn; as well as many aunties, uncles, relatives and friends. She is survived by her sister Bernadette; brother Dwayne, and two siblings by traditional adoption, Margaret Rose Dustyhorn and Richard Kotowich (Patricia Erhardt). Her passing is mourned by her surviving partner in early life, Randy Desjarlais and her children: Kristen Desjarlais, Sonja Anaskan, Aaron Anaskan, Tanis Desjarlais and Anthony Desjarlais. She also has surviving eight grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Geraldine always had a smile for you. She was quick to laugh, make a joke or even sing a song for fun. She was a kind soul with a loving heart. She was known for always wanting to feed her visitors. An excellent homemaker; she worked hard to create a clean, orderly and happy home environment. She was known for always offering to feed her visitors. She could be fiercely independent and would accept a ‘yes’ or ‘no’ equally; always managing to land on her feet. Her easy-going manner was also thoughtful and earnestly loving of others. She had survivor wits and wisdom beyond her years. When her devoted partner Gary passed on, her life became much more difficult. She lacked a stable home the past few years. Sadly, her vulnerabilities won out in the struggle to survive inter-generational trauma and poverty. She will be sorely missed by all who loved her. We rejoice in having had her in our lives and we know she is ever close in our hearts. She is just a smile, a memory, a prayer and an appeal for help away. May she rest in peace and in good company beyond all pain, want, illness, affliction or need.
