With broken hearts, we, the family of Gertrude Braumberger, announce her passing at the Regina General Hospital. Gertie is predeceased by her husbands Johnny (1960), and Albert Ottenbreit (1985); brothers Ralph, Bill, Wilfred, Walter, Albert, and Alfred; sister Irma and grandson Lorne Jr. She is survived by her brother Harvey (Drucella), her children, Patricia, Leona (Caesar), Joan (Bruce), Donnee (Elmer), Delphine (Richard), Leonard, Lorne, Lynn (Bob), and John (Paula) as well as 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Gertie felt fortunate to spend her entire life farming in the Dysart-Lipton area. She made time for family, friends and neighbours, there was always room for one more around the table. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, travelling, bingo, card games especially crib where she regularly won our money. She will be remembered for her hugs and kisses, her smile and all the perogies and cinnamon buns she made for us; she fed our souls as well as our stomachs. Our life will be less centered without her.
