Gotthold Carl Scholer passed away on May 19, 2015 at the age of 95 years in Regina, SK. He was predeceased by his parents Traugott and Rosa; sisters Rosa Gloecker and Hedwig Ternan; and brothers Bernhardt, Traugott and Hans. He is lovingly survived by his brother Alfred, and his sister, Esther (Eric). Gotthold was born, raised and educated on section I3, township 36, range 26, west of the 3rd meridian. His hometown was Luseland, SK. He farmed until he was 37 years of age, and during this time he served his country as a medic in the army. After this, Gotthold applied for and became a Federal civil servant for 22 years before his retirement, at which point he became active in the Lutheran Church. The Church was the most important part of his life, and he was thankful to his Christian parents for his upbringing.
