Hank passed away suddenly on Sunday, April 5, 2015 at the age of 82, just short of his 83rd birthday. He was born in the Sintaluta area. When he was 10 years old, he moved with his parents to Regina where he attended school until he was old enough to work with construction and help his father who managed an apartment block. He looked after his ailing parents, and worked for Regina Cartage Co. He was predeceased by older siblings – 1 brother Cecile Hawkshaw and his 2 sisters Grace E. Deal and Frances Kopanas. and his parents Horace Edgar and Charlotte Hawkshaw. Hank was a proud, energetic man who loved people. He was well known for riding his bike throughout the city, and stopping to chat with his many friends along the way.
He will be missed by those who knew him.
