Joseph Donald Prokop

Joe was born on April 2, 1976, in Regina Saskatchewan where he ended up living his whole life.

Joe was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer in August of 2024. Joe believed deeply that he would return to his favorite place of work at Western Litho Ltd. He dearly loved and admired his co-workers. However, Joe lost his battle to cancer at the Pasqua Hospital surrounded by his parents and siblings on September 7, 2025. Joe knew we were all there and how much we all loved him.

Joe was an amazing Son, Brother and Uncle. He enjoyed being around family and friends and he had a heart of gold. Joe would do anything to help his family and friends. Joe’s co-workers have said that he was an amazing worker.

Joe was predeceased by his Grandparents Ralph and Martha Kessel, Aunty Anne Traub, Uncle Dennis Kessel, Aunt Angela Wolitski, Cousin Trevor Kessel and many more family members.

Joe is survived by his parents Elsie and David Shaw, his Sister Nadine Sirett (Mike), his Brother’s Jason Shaw (Chantel), Mark Shaw (Morgan), and his Nieces and Nephews Mercedes and Dominyc Prokop, Jayme Hackett, Haley and Chloe Sirett, Lennux, Nova and Benji Shaw, Mia and Kane Thompson, Ella and Peaches.

Joe, you were a special gift from God. We will never forget you. You will always be in our hearts and will sadly be missed, but we know you will always be with us. Rest in Peace Joe, we love you. Until we meet again.
