It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Juliette Maynes, but are comforted to know heaven has gained a true angel. Julie passed away surrounded by her loved ones following a brief and unexpected illness.
Julie was predeceased by her mother Anne Boehm. She is survived by her loving husband and best friend Bill, daughter Deanna (Tim) Nauta, son Garrett (Amanda) Maynes, son Kyle Maynes (Sarah); grandsons Jett and William Nauta; father Peter Boehm, sister Rosanne Binnie, brother Andre Boehm, brother Kevin (Lorna) Boehm; father and mother-in-law James and Joan Maynes, sister-in-law Karen (Dion) Moldovan; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and many wonderful friends.
Born and raised in Regina, Julie met the love of her life when she was 15 years old. They went on to marry in 1980 and had three wonderful children while living in Regina. They moved to Wilcox, Saskatchewan in 1992 to raise their children in a quiet country setting. In 2007, Bill and Julie built their dream home in White City with their beautiful, park-like yard that is admired by all. Julie would love to get up in the early morning along with the sun, take her coffee and book outside and enjoy the start of the new day. She loved life to the fullest and all it had to offer. Julie enjoyed a long, rewarding career in health care. She started working in the CSR department at the Pasqua hospital while in high school. After this Julie put her career on hold for five years to devote her time to raising her three young children. She returned to work in Materials Management at SAHO, moved on to become Purchasing Manager at the Regina Qu’Appelle Health Region (RQHR), and ended her career as the Director of Materials Management at the RQHR. Julie retired on March 1, 2016 to join Bill in his retirement. They used this opportunity to enjoy being together, travel, and spend more time with family and friends. In November they took the trip of a lifetime and went to Maui, Hawaii, one of Julie’s life-long dreams.
All who knew Julie saw firsthand how she was a caring, devoted, hard-working person who always went above and beyond. She touched countless lives and had an unbelievable impact on those closest to her, which will last forever.
The family would like to thank Dr. Baird, Dr. Kaban, all the other doctors, nurses and staff at MICU and Emergency at the Regina General Hospital for all their hard work, care and compassion for our precious Julie.
