

It is with heavy hearts the family of Klasina (Clary) Jante Wesdyk announces her passing on Wednesday, December 23, 2020. Clary was born on August 22, 1941, in Kloosterhaar Netherlands to Sikko and Elizabeth Smid. She immigrated to Canada in 1967 to marry Arie a year later. Clary is survived by her husband Arie, of 53 years. Her children Steven (Karen), Anita (Quentin) and Tanya (Bill); grandchildren Kaitlynn (Andrew), Hailey (Christian), Emily, Julia, Brooklyn, Blake, Mya and Ellie; one beautiful great granddaughter Aria. Clary also leaves two sisters Jean Koopman of Regina and Eva Muis of Holland as well as numerous family in Regina and Holland. She is predeceased by her brother Emmy Smid. Clary was a selfless, caring soul and lived her life helping others. She helped to grow and contribute to the family’s construction business by keeping books and often rolling up her sleeves to help work when necessary. Clary loved upholstery, using her meticulous skills to turn old things into beautiful works of art. Between Arie and Clary, anything could be built or repaired. Clary’s greatest love was her family. She never stopped contributing to help make the lives of the people she loved easier. She was always present in the lives of her children and grandchildren. Clary loved to support her grandchildren, always their biggest fan. Attending dance competitions, water polo games, swimming competitions, hockey games or anything involving her grandchildren. Anything that supported her grandchildren gave Clary joy. The family would like to thank Dr. David Warden and nurses and staff from Palliative home care for their professionalism and support during Clary’s illness. Due to COVID, there will be a private memorial service for immediate family.
