June 10, 1945 – March 26, 2026
Lillian Arlene Anderson, lovingly known to many as Ginger, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2026, at the age of 80, with her daughter by her side.
Lillian was predeceased by her parents, John G. and Susie Cameron; her brothers, John R. Cameron and Gordon K. Cameron; her beloved husband of 55 years, Mike Anderson; and numerous in-laws. She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion in her children, Virginia “Connie” (Rob) and Peggy (Chad); her cherished grandchildren, Jeremy, Cameron, and Kaitlyn; and her precious great-granddaughter, Brielle. She is also survived by her siblings, Donald (Judy) Cameron, Nancy (Garnet) Smith, Dale (Carmelita) Cameron, David Cameron and in-laws Elizabeth and Linda Cameron; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A woman of generous spirit and kind heart, Lillian gave freely of her time and talents. She was deeply involved with the Saskatchewan Health Care Auxiliary Association and the Estevan St. Joseph’s Health Care Auxiliary, where she served in various roles over the years. Her commitment to helping others left a lasting impact on her community.
Lillian found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved knitting, crocheting, and baking, often sharing her handmade creations and treats with family, friends, and those in need. A devoted fan of the Toronto Blue Jays, she rarely missed a game and cheered faithfully from home. Though she had always hoped to attend a game in person, that dream remained unfulfilled. She also found peace and happiness in the outdoors, especially during days spent by the lake.
Lillian will be lovingly remembered for her warmth, generosity, and unwavering love for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at the Wascana Rehabilitation Centre Hospice for the exceptional care, kindness, and compassion they surrounded Lillian with during her stay. Their presence brought comfort and peace during a difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation of Estevan or the Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan.
A private family service will be held, with interment to take place at a later date.
