Olga Anne Borowetz was born January 26, 1948 in Canora, SK to parents Steve and Annie Charko. She passed away on September 21, 2021 at the Pasqua Hospital, Regina SK after a short illness. Olga was the oldest of 3 children, raised on a farm near Hudson Bay, SK. Olga married Lorne Ozirney, from Stenen, SK in 1969. After Lorne passed away in 1980, she raised their two daughters on her own in Regina. She married George Borowetz from Hudson Bay in 1992 and they lived on a farm near Hudson Bay until his passing in 1997. She remained living and working in Hudson Bay until 2017 when she moved to Regina to be close to her daughters and grandchildren. Olga loved to garden, cook, bake, dance and play cards. She was well known for her perogies and sold many a dozen. She was a very generous person and would put others before herself. She loved spending time with her family, providing help whenever she could. She had a strong faith in God and kept up many of the Ukrainian traditions. She is survived by her two daughters: Tracy (Ray) Morgan and Michelle (Chris) Tangedal; four very precious grandchildren: Rachel (Josh), Teanna (Eric), Brendan (Nikita) and Dylan; one very precious great grandson Aleksandr; sisters Violet (Syd) Schock, Linda (Don) Eftodie; nephews Shane and Clayton Schock and their families; nieces Shantel and Dana Eftodie as well as her extended family and numerous friends.
A celebration of Olga's life will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Lee Funeral Home, 3101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, SK.
