1928 – 2024
Bob Schmitz of Lumsden, SK passed away peacefully on Friday, August 23, 2024. He was born in Windthorst, SK on August 19, 1928 to Raymond and Mary Schmitz.
Bob is predeceased by his loving wife Marjorie (Marj); and his youngest daughter Wanda Styre.
He is survived by his daughter Nancy Sawa, Megan (Dustin) Zmetana, Olivia and Kinsley, and Mathew Sawa; daughter Cecile (Neil) Watson, Dustin (Cassello) Watson, Piper and Adrian, Garett (Jennelle) Watson, Oscar, Charlie and Sybill; son Dwayne (Janice) Schmitz, Jesse (Michelle) Schmitz and Tessa Schmitz; son in law Allan Styre, Jada (Scott) Griffith and Taysen, Jenna (Darrell) Sydiaha, Jacine (Jeff) Leclair, Jude, and Jack; and special family friend Terry Downie.
Bob’s greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. He lived a full and happy life. Bob had a long and fulfilling career with SaskPower.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Victoria Avenue Funeral Home, 2080 Victoria Avenue East, Regina, SK.
