Sandra was born on November 22, 1949 in Moose Jaw, SK to Alfred and June (Wells) Wolske. She was raised on the family farm north of Crane Valley, SK.
During her school years she was active in sports & 4-H. After high school, Sandra moved to Regina and attended Reliance Business College and did clerical work upon completion of her courses.
In June 1972, Sandra married Wayne Henderson. Together they raised four kids on the farm near Lumsden. She was the ultimate caretaker, as well as timing & events coordinator for all the kids activities, the household & farm. Once her kids were in their teens she returned to office work, worked at Handmade Gifts To Go at the airport for several years, even continuing/refreshing her education in 2004 before joining MacDougall Gauley at the front desk until retirement in 2017.
Sandra had many interests throughout her life especially sewing, gardening, canning and jam and jelly making. She was an exceptional sewer and made many outfits, useful household items and repairs over the years. She was responsible for making many skating and dance costumes for the community. Her large, carefully planned garden enabled her to feed her family and also get creative with preserves & baking. She would share her talents as gifts, at bazaars and craft fairs. Sandra had a knack for hosting gatherings, family, holidays, 4-H & birthday parties. Great memories were made when she loaded up the kids in the suburban to deliver the evening feast to the field.
Sandra enjoyed sister time, especially garage sales both shopping & selling. She also had an incredible hiking group of friends with trips spanning 30+ years. She was the original recycler and extreme couponer. Sandra was a provider, a giver and true people person!
Sandra is survived by her children, Lee (Brent) of Noonan, ND, Chet (Rebecca) of Olds, AB, Kari Rae of Miller, SD and Drew of Regina, SK; grandchildren, Tucker, Cooper, Hollis, Ivy, Coy, Webb and Oria; sisters Heather (Dwaine) Entner, Connie (Gordon) Smith and Robbin (Lorrie) Schick; numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by parents Alfred and June Wolske, infant sister Roxie.
