Sharon Elizabeth Yuzicappi (nee Redman), Cante Waste Yuha Mani Pte Wi born July 31st,1958 passed away peacefully the morning of April 10th, 2024. Sharon was born to Dora Redman and Huey Bear (Ochapowace) She was raised by Susan and John Yuzicappi since she was 5 months old. Sharon is predeceased by her foster parents John and Susan Yuzicappi, foster brother Harvey Yuzicappi, foster sisters Rita and Bernice Yuzicappi, foster nephews: Byron Yuzicappi, Gregory Yuzicappi. Sharon is predeceased by biological brothers David Redman, Alvin Redman, Robert Redman and niece Jessica Redman.
Sharon is survived by her biological siblings: Jean Redman (Walter), Audrey Redman, Marlene Delorme, Judy Taylor, Cynthia Montas, Calvin Redman. Biological niece and nephew: Melissa Redman and Travis Redman, Richard D. Redman. Biological grandchildren: Hailey, Iverson, Landon, Kanisha, Jonas. Foster nieces and nephews: Kendra Yuzicapi (Ray), Deanna Yuzicapi, Courtney Musqua and Joe Musqua. Sharon will be deeply missed by all her grandchildren whom she had a special connection with: Amanda, Maria, Trinity, Brant. Justice, Cante, Dani, Taleah and especially her beloved great grandbabies Brayden, Dawson and Evelyn whom she absolutely adored.
Sharon was the life of her family. She made meals every birthday, holiday and special occasion for our family. Her loss will be deeply felt. Sharon was an avid shawl maker and many people depended on her for her shawl making skills. She was also quick at her craft and often had shawls ready within days to a week. Sharon enjoyed outings with her family, Houston’s with her sister Jean, family birthday bbq’s in the summer and even closing down the casino with her sister Bernice back in the day. Sharon was a very sentimental person who had many keepsakes of all her grandchildren’s momentous occasions. Sharon’s family would like to extend gratitude to Echo Lodge Special Care Home in Fort Qu’Appelle for their compassionate care during Sharon’s stay.
An honouring of Sharon’s life will be held at Standing Buffalo School Gym with wake beginning Sunday, April 14th at 4PM, The family requests no children present during the wake. With funeral services at 10 AM the following Monday April 15, 2024.
