Steve Bata was born on August 20, 1933, in Budapest, Hungary. He passed away peacefully at home. He left behind his wife Tillie and son Steve. He was predeceased by six brothers and sisters and many nieces and nephews. After immigrating to Canada in 1956 from Hungary, he worked several jobs before starting his own successful business. He was a long time President and member of the Hungarian Cultural Club. Steve was very proud of his Hungarian roots and his many friends over the years. He enjoyed the Hall until his very last day. Steve was known for a good sense of humor, strong work ethic and his love of people, animal’s, horse races and Regina Beach. He had a big heart and always wanted to help where ever he could. Steve opened his heart up to anyone he met and considered them a friend. A Reception and Celebration for friends and family will be held on August 31, 2016 at 2:00PM at the Hungarian Cultural Club on 1925 McAra Street.
