Valerie Geddes

Valerie Geddes, 65, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at the Regina General Hospital in Regina, SK. She was born July 25, 1958 in Woseley, SK to Helen Linton and Elmer Eashappie Sr. From a young age, she learned how to take care of her family, extending this talent into her later years as she became a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Valerie loved music, puzzles, beading, long walks and was invested into her long-time faith as a Jehovah’s Witness. She loved spending time with her family, including her grandchildren and would always lend an ear to anyone who needed it.

She is predeceased by her father Elmer Eashappie Sr; siblings Vera, Anola, Daniel, and Leah Eashappie; son Joseph Eashappie; niece Tabitha Bear and nephew Dustin Eashappie.

She is survived by her mother Helen Linton (Fred); siblings Garry (Sandy), Shirley (Allen), Rick (late Valerie), Clayton (Sharla), Elmer Jr (Rani Day), Dee (Troy), and Dale Eashappie, Monica Upshaw (Victor), and Nicole Linton; children Steven Eashappie (Marie), Irven Geddes, Rory Geddes (Marina), Ashley Eashappie (Delainie); grandchildren Paige, Faith, and Aurora Eashappie, Dayton, DeRay, and Kenyon Sinclair-Geddes, Erin, Chantay, and Cheyanne Geddes, and Gracelyn Fussell; great-grandchildren Kona Eaglevoice-Crowe and Anthony Sinclair-LaRose.

A viewing and service will be held at Lee Funeral Home in Regina, SK on Monday, October 16, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. We encourage all friends and family to join us to celebrate her life.
