Mader, Vivian Lorraine. It is with great sadness that her family announces Vivian’s passing on July 12, 2015. Vivian Williamson was born in Regina and raised on a farm near Avonhurst where she attended school and had fond memories of playing baseball and riding on horseback. Later, she worked as a nurse’s aide at Qu’Appelle Hospital. Vivian enjoyed attending local dances and events, and it was at one such dance that she met Howard Mader, the love of her life. Vivian and Howard were married in Edgeley on March 21, 1953. They enjoyed 59 happy years together, settling in Regina to raise their 3 children, Larry, Linda, and Kevin. She prided herself on being a meticulous housekeeper and provider, and enjoyed shopping with her mother, Eva, and daughter Linda. She had a love of children, and she and Howard opened their home and hearts to several foster-babies. As their family grew, Howard and Vivian became loving and much-loved grandparents and great-grandparents. She is remembered by her children: Larry (Darlene), Linda Lewis, and Kevin (Gail); her grandchildren: Steven, Nathan (Cassidy), Nicole (Rob), Shane (Tiffany), Stefanie (Josh), and Melissa; her great-grandchildren: Brody, Gabriel, Layla, and Lincoln; Brother-in-law Ron Mader (Kelowna), Sister-in-laws Shirley Williamson (Avonhurst), Jo Mader (Qu’Appelle) and Aileen Mader (Moose Jaw); and her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.Vivian is pre-deceased by her husband Howard, parents Emer and Eva, brother Barry, and son-in-law Herb Lewis as well as several other in-laws.The family would like to thank Dr. Jancewicz and the staff at the Allan Blair Cancer Center, as well as Dr. Kielly and the staff of 4A, 4B, and the Palliative Care Unit at the Pasqua Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the Regina Humane Society.
