Walter Eugene Hoffman

December 18, 1939 – August 19, 2012

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother and Uncle. Walter passed away peacefully at the Pasqua Hospital, surrounded by his family on Sunday, August 19, 2012 at 6:20 PM; following his short battle with cancer. He was born in Eatonia, SK on December 18, 1939. He took great pride in owning and operating his own business for many years. On July 13, 1968, Walter married the love of his life Delila. Walter enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and also loved spending special times in the summer at Craven World, and winters in Yuma, AZ. He was predeceased by his parents Eugene & Mathilda and brother James. Walter is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Delila; his children- Shannon (Gaston) Gareau & Brent (Cindy) Hoffman; grandchildren- Walter’s very special girl: Chelsea, Richard (Jen), Eric, Michael (Lindsay) & Elizabeth (Yvond); great-grandchildren- Dixon & Chase; siblings Mildred (Myron) Olafson, Evelyn Arnett, Mickey (Helen) Bloos & Floyd (Else) Manz; sister-in-law Dorothy Hoffman, brother-in-law Larry (Frieda) Dorey; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by many special friends, including Ray, Shirley, Glen, Florence and many others. A Memorial Service will take place on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Christ Lutheran Church, 4825 Dewdney Ave., Regina, SK. Donations may be made in Walter’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.
