Francis Cornelius McCormick Sr.

Francis was born in Shenandoah on September 20, 1932, a son of the late Frank McCormick and Mary (Shustack) Roeger.

He was a member of St. Catharine of Siena RCC, a Korean War Army veteran and retired from Cott Beverage.

Surviving is his son, Francis C. McCormick Jr., of Exeter; his 3 daughters: Ramona M. McCormick and her partner, Anand Velink, of Reading; Susan R. and her husband, William Shapiro, of Anaheim, CA.; and Gwynne C. and her husband, James Kolodziejski, of Muhlenberg.

There are 6 grandchildren: Alex and his wife, Megan McCormick, Corrinne McCormick, Joshua Hoffa, Tyler McCormick, Kobi Kolodziejski, Lucas Kolodziejski; and 3 great-grandchildren: Daniel, Isaac and Alexis.

Francis was predeceased by his daughter, Dorothy McCormick, and his sister, Ann McCormick.

A Mass of Christian of Burial will be celebrated Saturday, March 12, 2016, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Catharine of Siena RCC, 2427 Perkiomen Ave., Reading. Burial to follow at Highland Memorial Park. A viewing will be Saturday 9:30-10:30 in the church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to your favorite Veteran organization in his memory.
