Gloria Dawn (Powell) Fisher

Gloria Dawn (Powell) Fisher, 88, formerly of Frederica, DE entered eternal rest on Friday, April 2, 2021, at Laurel Center, Hamburg. Born July 18, 1932 in Reading, she was the daughter to the late Ronald A. Powell Sr. and Mildred (Bitzer) Powell.

Gloria was a graduate of Reading High School, class of 1950. She worked at Baldwin Hardware until her retirement.

Gloria was a member of Zion's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Shoemakersville.

Gloria constantly watched tennis on TV and loved watching the players’ footwork. She also loved baking. Her shoo fly cake and wacky cake were the family favorites. However, above all else she absolutely treasured spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Gloria's spirit will be carried on by 3 sons Scott C. Fisher Sr. and wife Esther, Bart Fisher and wife Patricia, Ronald Fisher and wife Ruth; daughter Robin Daub and husband Darren; sister Donna L. Burns; 10 grandchildren Brett Fisher, Brandi Fisher, Dana Moyer, Scott C. Fisher Jr., Ryan Fisher, Andrew Fisher, Royce Fisher, William Fisher, Brett Daub and Alannah Daub. Gloria also leaves behind 2 great grandchildren Toby Fisher and Alexander Moyer to cherish her memory.

In addition to her parents, Gloria was greeted in heaven by her beloved husband Charles E. Fisher Jr., brother Ronald A. Powell Jr. and sister Nyla Guss.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the staff of Auman's Inc. Funeral Home, Reiffton. A celebration of life at Zion's Evangelical Lutheran Church and burial at Forest Hills Memorial Park will be held at a later date.
