

He is survived by his wife Jo Ann (Tate) Jackson, with whom he shared 49 of years of marriage.
Grant was born in Reading on March 3, 1943, a son of the late James and Vivian (McCray) Jackson.
He was an Air Force Master Sergeant for 20 years serving during the Vietnam Era.
Grant was employed by Reading School District as a guidance counselor for 10 years, retiring in 1998.
He was a member of Zion Baptist Church where he served as Chairman of the Deacon Board and President of the male chorus. He was Treasurer of Central PA Male Singing Association.
In addition to his wife, Grant is also survived by his daughter, Ronni Faye Jackson of Reading; his brother, Robert E. Jackson of Shoemakersville; and his sister, Doris Wing of Coatesville.
He was predeceased by his son, James Evans Jackson in 1995, and by his siblings: Joan Jackson, Carole Jackson, David Jackson and James Jackson.
Services will be Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 11 a.m. in Zion Baptist Church, 224 Washington St., Reading. Burial to follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park. A viewing will be Thursday 10-11 a.m., in the church.
