Betty Lou Elzig

17 marzo, 1931 – 18 noviembre, 2023
Obituario de Betty Lou Elzig
EN EL CUIDADO DE

Greenwood Memorial Park & Funeral Home

Betty Lou Elzig (1931-2023) passed away peacefully on November 18th. She was a loving mother, amazing grandmother, caring sister, wonderful friend, avid churchgoer, and (she would say) a fair to midland bowler. She was like a roaring fire in a tiny little fireplace. Shined brightly, gave warmth, but wasn’t afraid to burn someone. She was never afraid to give tough love when it was needed, but always had room for forgiveness. She loved her activities too, for decades making sure she attended her T.O.P.S, friendship connection, Primetimers, and bowling leagues when she and her best friend weren’t on their yearly vacation visiting friends and family all the way to Branson and back. She loved her Sunday school lessons and church and discussions with her pastors. Betty Boop as many called her was also very into collecting Ziggy stuff, going so far as to name her car Ms. Ziggy. Despite being born in Brumley, MO and raised in the Dakotas, she made Renton and her church family her community and home. She is currently survived by her son, Robert; her grandson, Lucas; her extended family, the Nickels; her church family at East Renton Community Church; and various family members across the country. We will all miss her light and guidance.
