

Bill T Crookston, born November 24th 1942 in Renton, WA to Homer & Betty Crookston. Bill grew up tinkering with cars and that would be something that he did most of his life. In his younger years, he liked to hunt, and did some fishing. Bill graduated from Kent Meridian High School in 1961 and started his 38 years as a BoilerMaker at Todd Ship Yard in Seattle. He left Todd for a short time and served his county in the Army from 1966 to 1970. During this time he served in Vietnam. Bill built most of our current Ferry ship fleets and made numerous repairs on many Naval Ships during his career.
He was a very hard worker and took pride in what he did, in and outside of his job.
He was a very talented car mechanic and everyone knew it. He would work on others people’s cars in his free time as well as building a 1968 Camaro with a good friend on the weekends.
Bill took care of his parents Homer & Betty until their passing. He then lived the rest of his years on the property that he grew up on.
Bill has 3 children, son Tracy (Kelly) Thomas of Henderson, NV, Rick (Theresa) Crookston of Enumclaw, WA, and Teri Crookston of Renton, WA. 3 Grandchildren, Kerina, Dale and Ian and 4 Great-Grandchildren, Lilly, Elisabeth, Jack and Hannah.
Bill was surrounded by family and friends in his final days.
