Celesta Sofia Huff

Celesta Sofia Dahlberg Huff was born on April 21, 1929 in Glenns Ferry Idaho to Victor and Anna Dalhberg. She met Allen Paul Huff in 1947 while she worked in the Albertson’s Bakery and he was on leave from the Navy Boot Camp. She married the love of her life Allen Paul Huff on November 22, 1950 in Boise, Idaho.

Celesta was a member of the Scarlet Skirts while attending Boise High School. After graduating Boise Junior College, she was a grade school teacher for three years. She was a homemaker who took pride in raising her children, grandchildren and taking care of her husband Paul. She was proud of her Swedish heritage and spoke of this often. She was heavily involved in all aspects of social outreach within her church. She was a student and teacher for Bible Study Fellowship.

Celesta went home to her Lord on January 30, 2014. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years Allen Paul Huff, children James Huff (Sheila), Pauline Brantingham (David), Karen Kimmel (Michael) and Robert (Sue), grandchildren Allison Levesque (Nate), Jeff Kimmel (Danielle), Jay Brantingham (Amy), Shaila Mequet (Christopher), Micah Huff (Rebecca), Daniel Huff, Peter Kimmel, Christina Huff and great grandchildren Aidan Levesque, Conner Brantingham, Jack Brantingham, Grant Mequet, Stella Brantingham, Cooper Huff and Avery Celeste Huff (due in May 2014).

She is also survived by her sister Carol Ann Salzwedel and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was a gentle woman who’s grace was boundless and touched many lives. We love you Celesta and will miss you very much but rejoice in the knowledge that you are with your Lord.
