Christine attended school in East St. Louis and received her GED. She furthered her education in cosmetology and worked in this field for many years.
Christine confessed Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She relocated to Seattle, Washington where she labored as a chore worker for Catholic Community Services beginning in 1991. Christine wanted to show her children they could accomplish all that they set their minds to do, so she completed her education and earned her Certified Nursing Certificate. She was employed with Modern Care, Park West Care Center and Bessie Burton Sullivan, where she worked until she became ill and retired.
Christine raised all of her children in the church and was a choir director. She sang with The McNair Singers and recorded two songs - “I Got a Will to do Right” and “I Speak for Christ”. Christine had the voice of an angel, and when she sang, souls were saved and lives were given to Christ. She was a member of Trinity Faith Temple in Seattle, until she became ill.
Christine’s son, Ronald Taylor, sisters, Deloris Hopkins-Norris and Josephine Hopkins and brother in law, Robert Cavitt proceeded her in death.
