Cindy Williams

Chikako Onaga was born December 17, 1964 in Naha Okinawa, Japan to Chiyoko Onaga. Through the marriage of Robert and Chiyoko Szurek she became Chikako Szurek as their only child. When they moved from Japan to Killeen, Texas they gave her the English name Cindy.

As a young child Cindy was introduced to Christ while attending Church with her parents.

As a Military child her school chronology was Elementary school in Killeen, Texas, Junior High in Germany, and High school in Spanaway, Washington.

Cindy met the love of her life in 1983 at the age of 19 years old and they later married August 24, 1985. To this union three children were born, Craig Jr., Cameron, and Cordell. She was a loving wife and mother who devoted her life to the care and development of her family. Taking care of her family was her number one priority.

She loved to bowl, crochet, and her most recent hobby was making COVID-19 mask. Cindy was a very sweet woman who was loved by many. She had an infectious smile, drawn by many with her magnetic personality, and a bizarre sense of humor.

Cindy started her working career at the age of 19 at various Companies. She found her career calling in 2003 at Safeway stores. She was a loyal worker and loved her job at various Safeway stores. The last Safeway store she worked in was in Kent. She worked at that store for the last seven years.

From day one of meeting Leona Williams, her mother-in-law, she instantly took over the role of Craig being Leona’s baby. Cindy was now Leona’s baby. The last year and three months Cindy and Craig have taken care of their Mom, Leona during the pandemic.

Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Chiyoko Szurek. Cindy leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Craig Sr.; Sons, Craig Williams Jr. (Jessica), Cameron, and Cordell; grandaughters, Kelsy, Brooklyn; grandsons, Skylar, Trey, Dante, Dariyn, and Brody; Mother-in-law, Leona Williams; sister-in-laws, Bonita Harrison and Ruth Watson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
