

On Sunday, November 28th at the age of 90 Margaret Baffaro Barlow, a lifelong resident of the City of Renton passed away quietly while sleeping. She was residing at Regency at Renton Rehabilitation Center, where she received excellent care from Anny, Charles, Paula, Parm and Kristin to only name a few.
Margaret ran a small business in the Rainier Valley with her husband of 39 years from October 1955 until his passing October 1st 1979. She then continued to run the Lakeside Tavern a neighborhood establishment until finally selling in March of 1987. Not long after, she went to work for Rossoe Oil Company in Rainier Beach part time, as well as volunteering for the Renton Police Department with the Detective Unit. She would tell anyone who would listen, that they were her boys. She managed both of these jobs working Monday through Friday until she was almost 87 years young. In her spare time, up until last year she was involved with the Renton High School Alumni, hosting their annual reunion luncheon for the class of 1939. A member of Legion of Mary, Lady Lions and Fraternity Order of Eagles Ladies Auxiliary. Also participating in a Ladies Monthly Birthday Club with classmates from High School, as well as another with the ladies she had met from the tavern. If you had the opportunity to know Margaret then you probably possess at least one of the hundreds of afghans that she had knitted.
Her husband Harold and four brothers Frank, Tony, Pete and Sam Baffaro preceded her. She has left behind a daughter Rosemary Verheul, son John Barlow, granddaughter Margo Guenther and husband Kyrdell Guenther, great granddaughter Jerilynn Shultz and husband Tim Shultz, great great granddaughter Zoë Shultz, granddaughter Kristine Seelbach and husband Tony Seelbach, great grandson Cody Seelbach and great granddaughter Emily Seelbach along with many friends.
Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Friend. Although we know that you are now in a better place with your Lord, you will be greatly missed.
Mother if we could say that we had even half of the friends and people that you have touched in this life here on earth, we all could say that we have been truly blessed. We love you forever Mom!
