Remus Baily Swain was born March 14, 1949 to the late Henry Baily and Blanche Swain of Oxford, Alabama. He departed this life at age 66 on April 25, 2015.
Remus graduated from Calhoun County Training School in Hobson City, Alabama. He continued his education at Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama. Remus obtained an AA Degree in Computer Science Technology from Gadsden State Junior College in Gadsden, Alabama. He also obtained a BS Degree in Project Management from City University in Renton, Washington.
He was a member of the United States Air Force from 1969 - 1977 where he served in the Vietnam War.
After leaving the U.S. Air Force, he relocated to Seattle, WA and he worked at the Boeing Company for more than thirty years as a Manufacturing Engineer.
He was a strong mentor to all those who graced his presence. He loved the Lord and was always willing to share the word of God with others. He cherished life, especially playing golf and traveling with his closest friends.
He leaves to mourn; his two daughters, Carlena Diane Allen of Tacoma, WA and Juliana Chantell Denise Swain of Atlanta, GA; two sons, Shawn Francis of Washington State and Tyvon Justin Swain of Puyallup, WA; one brother, Curtis Novell Swain of Renton, WA; three sisters, Henrietta Brown of Lakewood, WA, Elaine Morten of Brandon, MS and Blanche Toomer of White Plains, MD; his aunt Lois Wilson of Kent, WA; two grandchildren, Dominque Christopher Swain and Julian Bailey Mathieu Gaines; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
