As parents, you gave me the best parts of you, and the nurturing to make the most of those precious gifts.

Because of your love, I became a better son, a better person, a better husband, a better father, a better man. From you I learned how to approach life with a sense of humor to make sense of it all, and to make life a little more enjoyable for those around me, just as you did. You always encouraged and supported me, while letting me make my own decisions, and chart my own course. You helped me overcome challenges and drew joy from my successes. You were the greatest of parents, amazing grandparents who adored their grandkids, great friends to those in your lives, generous beyond belief and amazing people. And now you’re gone, and while I grieve, I also want to exude the strength and leadership you always did. To make you proud, even in death.
