

Sue was born March 22, 1933, to Henry and Ida Hehr. She was the oldest child and big sister to Don, Yvonne and Duane. Sue graduated from Renton High School, attended Green River Community College and started worked at Boeing before beginning her family.
In high school, Sue joined the choir and played the saxophone in the band. This began her love of music. She continued singing at Green River Community College and joined many choirs and signing groups throughout her life. She had a beautiful voice which ranged 4 octaves! Through her music connections she was able to travel to many exciting destinations including Australia, Europe, and Africa.
Sue married Nicholas Baxter in1955 and they raised 3 boys, Craig, Kurt and Kent. She enjoyed spending time with her sons and their families, including 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She spent many years in Southern California but returned home to Washington almost 30 years ago. Sue loved having her family nearby and always looked forward to holiday and family gatherings.
She passed away on May 10, 2016 after a battle with Alzheimer’s. We want to thank “Caring Arms” for welcoming her into their home and for making sure she got the care that she needed in the last days of her life. Sue’s family and friends meant the world to her.
