Tacy was born in Renton, Washington on February 27, 1950, to parents Albert and Maxie. She grew up in Renton and graduated from Renton High School in 1968. She went on to attend Green River Collage and studied Pharmacology and Nursing, graduating to become an Licensed Practical Nurse.
Following graduation Tacy worked as a nurse for several years primarily in the maternity ward, which she took great joy in. She loved working with all the newborns. During this time she had her son Kory, married Robert Bates, moved to the Sultan/Snohomish area and had their daughter Terri Ann. Between raising her kids and severely injuring her ankle in an auto accident, she decided to move on to work for Farmers Insurance. She did this for decades, first in Bob’s office then for Fred Banghart.
Tacy was baptized in and a life long member of the LDS church. She grew up with a large Family of 4 brothers and a sister who she loved deeply. She loved doing genealogy and preserving family memories. She loved each and every Niece, Nephew, Cousin and Friend’s children as if they were her own. Her family was her number one passion in life.
Tacy was a skilled cake baker/decorator and loved making elaborate cakes for everyone’s special occasions. She loved gardening and camping and was always very much prepared with several tin foil packet meals for everyone. She was a excellent cook and loved making and partaking in all things sweet and decadent. She was also a skilled crafter and seamstress. She would often be hard at work on a thoughtful project for a friend or family member. Tacy could also have a playful and rebellious side like running through the park sprinklers barefoot with her kids at night on a whim.
Tacy is preceded in death by Her mom Maxie and Dad Al(bert), brother James/Jim and sister Terri Lou. She is survived by Son Kory Nevin (Cami), Terri Hale (Kevin), Grandkids; Gunnar, Leif and Freya.
