Born to Patricia and Rick Romero in 1980, Tami was full of energy and life from the start. She grew up between Cheney, Spokane, and Auburn and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Auburn in 1998. After High School, she began working as an Insurance Agent for Young Insurance. She worked there for 22 years until she purchased the business in 2022. She was dedicated to her new business and her clients until her illness forced her into retirement in the Spring of 2023.
In 2006 she married Jason Jurgensen, and they bought a home in Maple Valley. Over the next 17 years, Tami created an amazing family. Daughter Adelyn was born in 2008 and Son Zander was born in 2015. They were the most important thing in her life, and she was a compassionate, fun-loving, and caring mother.
Tami was passionate about her family and her friends, and you didn’t need to be blood to become her family. Friends became aunts and uncles to her children. She was always the life of the party, bringing a warm fun-loving presence to any event and situation. A lover of all things costume parties, she spent countless hours planning and hosting themed parties. Tami enjoyed spending time at the wineries, camping, in Hawaii, at concerts, at the river, tackling home projects, shopping, napping, mini adventures around town, and at home with friends and family. She loved her people and needed them in her life, those connections recharged her battery.
She had a wonderful presence about her and could always bring a smile to your face and will truly be missed.
Tami is survived by her husband, Jason Rolf Jurgensen; her daughter Adelyn Elaine Jurgensen (15) and son Zander Lyle Grant Jurgensen (7), her mother Patricia Mooney (Shawn Mooney), father Rick Romero (Nancy Romero), parent-in-laws Grant and Marie Jurgensen, step brothers Chris Simpson and Shayne Mooney (Paige Mooney), step sisters Jennifer Boatsman (Ross Boatsman) and Laura Mooney, brother and sister in law Curtis and Shelby Jurgensen, nephews Ethan Jurgensen, Cole Jurgensen, Jonas Jurgensen, Brennan Boatsman, and Liam Mooney, pet Porter and countless extended family and close friends.
