Dorene Swartwout

Dorene M. Swartwout, age 74, of Rhinelander died on Monday, October 10, 2011 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 15, 1937 in Rhinelander the daughter of Roy (Butch) and Evelyn (Mewhorter) Gilbert. She graduated from Rhinelander High School in 1955. Later she obtained a degree in Accounting from Nicolet College. Dorene married her first love Lawrence Swartwout in 1982. Dorene showed her love through cooking, the children she cared for and helping other people. She loved her church and working in her flower garden.

Dorene is survived by her children; Bradley (Janet) Clairmore of Guston, KY, Julie Fraser of Oak Creek, WI, Renee (Jack) Wotnoske of Menominee, MI, Brenda (Tom) Shepard of Harshaw, WI, Jeff (Juanna) Clairmore of Hurst, TX, Christopher (Robin) Clairmore or Rhinelander, Rodney (Patsy) Clairmore of Littleton, CO, Jill (Darren) Friday of Rhinelander fourteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lawrence in 2002, two brothers William and Patrick and two sisters Delores Berard and Sandra Jackson.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Hildebrand Russ Funeral Home with Chaplain John Uhlarik officiating. Inurnment will be at Forest Home Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Funeral Home on Wednesday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service.
