Faith H Sommerfield

Faith Houck Sommerfield, age 93, of Madison, died, August 24, 2012 in Rhinelander. Faith was born in Rice Lake, Wisconsin on January 10, 1919. She married Duane G. Sommerfield in January of 1939. They were long time residents of Madison. Faith was preceded in death by her husband, Duane in 1985 and two brothers, Donald and Robert Houck. She and Duane had two daughters; Carole (Jack) Bast of Hartford, WI and Kathryn (Wade) French of Rhinelander. Faith has four grandchildren; Christopher Bast of LaCrosse, WI, Cheryl (George) Howe of La Crescent, MN, Neil Bast of New York City, NY and Megan Barrow (Jason Clapp) of Fort Bragg, CA and two great grandchildren, Ryan and Rachel Howe. Faith had resided in Rhinelander, WI at the Alice Haus/Country Terrace Assisted Living where she received care and kindness in her last years. She will be remembered by family and friends for her sense of humor and stories of days gone by. No formal funeral services will take place; entombment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Madison.
