Patricia Jeane Winkler

Patricia Jeane Winkler, age 86, of Rhinelander, passed away July 11, 2011 at the Josephine Haus under the loving care of the staff and Ministry Hospice. Pat was born December 20, 1924 in Rhinelander the daughter of Edward and Ellen (Hilber) Healy. She attended Rhinelander schools and was a life long resident of Rhinelander. Pat married James Francis Winkler June 7, 1947 at the Immaculate Conception Church (St. Mary’s) and together raised their family. She was a faithful member of Nativity of Our Lord; St. Mary’s Church and was the church secretary for many years before her retirement in 1981. Pat very much enjoyed playing bridge weekly with her good friends, Dorothy Brown, Dorothy Carlson and Ruth Mason. She also looked forward to work the poles during election time. She so loved her family and extended family as well as attending the Healy family reunions, which were a great joy.

Patricia is survived by her children; son, John, Mavis Winkler, son, Jeffrey (Shirley) all of Rhinelander, son, James (Kari) of Battle Creek, MI, son, Joseph (Georgia) of Minocqua, daughter, Joan ( Scott) Nelson of Rhinelander, son, Judson (Sandy) of St. Joseph, MI and daughter, Judith (Lester) Lodewyck of Baxter, MN, 12 grandchildren, Chris, Dan, Chad, Collett, Lee, Erin, Lexi and Logan Winkler, Jonathon and Stephanie Nelson, Teresa (Jaros) (Winkler) and Yvonne (Duchac) (Winkler), ten great-grandchildren, Brocton, Payton, Kendall, Addison, Avery, Kellan, Olivia, Max, Soren and Erika.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, her husband, Jim in 2004, two daughters, Jennifer and Jeanette and a son, Jay.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, July 14, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at Nativity of Our Lord ~ St. Joseph’s site with Father John Gerritts officiating. Burial to follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at Hildebrand Russ Funeral Home from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. A Rosary will be said at 6:30 P.M. Hildebrand Russ Funeral Home, 715-365-4343 is assisting the Winkler family with arrangements.
