

Audie Ray Bishop, 86, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2025, in Dallas, Texas. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, Audie lived a full and vibrant life rooted in faith, family, and service.
Born on December 7, 1938, in Richardson, Texas, Audie was a lifelong Texan who remained deeply connected to his hometown. He graduated from Richardson High School in 1957 and went on to build a successful career that spanned nearly two decades at Texas Instruments. Following his time there, he brought his talents and dedication to various startup companies until his retirement.
Audie proudly served in the Marine Reserves for ten years, demonstrating a steadfast commitment to his country. His sense of duty extended beyond military service into every aspect of his life—whether through work, community involvement, or time spent with loved ones.
A man of many interests and talents, Audie found joy in the great outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, and traveling. At home, he was known for his skill at the grill and in the kitchen—baking treats that delighted family and friends alike. Above all else, Audie cherished time spent with those closest to him.
He was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church in Richardson, where he found spiritual strength and community throughout his life.
Audie is lovingly remembered by Suzanne, his wife of 64 years whom he met while attending North Texas State University; their daughter Sherri; son Don; daughter-in-law Karen; and granddaughter Maddie. He also leaves behind many sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his father Charles Richard Bishop; mother Totis (Thompson) Bishop; brothers Walter Bishop and Ivan Bishop; aunt Audy Reeder; and uncle TJ Reeder.
A memorial service celebrating Audie's life will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at First United Methodist Church located at 503 North Central Expressway in Richardson, Texas.
