

Charlotte Ann Clark, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2025, at the age of 92. Born on September 19, 1932, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Charlotte lived a remarkable life filled with dedication to her family, community, and passions.
Charlotte graduated from North Dallas High School and soon after met the love of her life, John E. Clark. The couple married in 1950 and moved to Richardson, Texas, where they built a loving home and raised their two children.
In 1969, Charlotte became a proud member of the Richardson Woman’s Club, where she actively contributed for decades, including serving twice on the Richardson Woman’s Club Charitable Foundation Board. Her dedication to community service extended to her involvement with the LISI Book Club, where she not only participated for many years but also served as its president. Additionally, Charlotte was a devoted member of Friends of the Richardson Library, taking on the role of president during her tenure. Charlotte had a passion for playing bridge and many other games, which brought her joy and fostered cherished friendships over the years.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, John E. Clark; her daughter, Linda Clark; her grandson, Ryan Hastings; and her parents, Odessa and Comer McDowell.
She is survived by her son, Michael Clark, and his wife, Alyce; her granddaughters, Sara Mooney and Alex Clark; and her great-grandsons, Ryan and John Thomas Mooney.
Charlotte’s kindness, leadership, and passion for enriching her community left an indelible mark on everyone she met. She was admired for her intellect, grace, and unwavering commitment to helping others.
Charlotte will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
A celebration of Charlotte’s life will be held at 2:00 in the afternoon on Sunday, January 19, 2025, in Sparkman Funeral Home, 1029 Greenville Avenue, Richardson, TX 75080.
