Curtis Eugene Moore

Curtis Eugene Moore returned to the Lord on October 23, 2011. Curtis was born December 7, 1916 in Gunter, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Dudley & Iva Eunice Jordan Moore, 3 brothers; J.D., Jewett & his twin brother Clark. Curtis proudly served his country in World War II for 4 ½ years in the 144th Infantry Division.

He married Ruby Pauline (Polly) Murley on February 9, 1942 in Vancouver, WA. He retired from air conditioning industry after 33 years. He served the Lord faithfully for many years at Buckner Terrace Baptist Church and more recently at Lakeside Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife Polly; 2 sons, Curtis II of Houston & Larry; one grandson, Brandon Moore of Bryan, TX; 3 granddaughters, Kasey Moore of Houston, Jennifer Ring of Wylie, Julie Lawson of Wylie; 3 great grandsons, Austin & Christian Moore of Bryan; Holden Ring of Wylie; 2 great granddaughters, Laci Lawson of Wylie & Jordan Mullens of Houston; as well as his loving nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM, with a celebration of his life at 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 27, 2011, Sparkman Funeral Home chapel. Please join the family for a reception following the service. Interment will be held at Restland Memorial Park.
