

Daniel Seider, 67 of Dallas, TX passed away, June 11, 2016. He was born on November 27, 1948 in New York, NY to Seymour and Selma Seider. He graduated from Hewlett High School in Hewlett, NY. He attended the University of Arizona receiving a BSBA in Quantitative Methods and MBA in Operations Management and Strategic Planning. He married Betty Jean Thompson on July 4, 2000. Daniel had a career in Information technology, most recently at General Motors Financial. One of his most intriguing employments was with the Nasa Jet Propulsion Laboratory’s Deep Space Network, where he hardened security for Voyager Neptune. He was a member of Mensa and had a passion for sailing, architecture, photography and his pets, Lucky, Pixel and Haute Chat (aka Hot Shot). His focus at the time of his death was the design and building of a house in Southlake, TX. He is survived by his wife Betty Jean Thompson Seider; brothers, Ross Seider and wife Bonnie and Dr. Mike Seider and wife Kathy; nephews, Scott Seider and wife Amanda; Aaron Seider, and Sam Seider; nieces, Sarah Seider and Wendy Seider and wife Gloria Bruce.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 24, 2016 at Sparkman Richardson Funeral Home. Following the service, family and friends are invited to a celebration of Daniel’s life at the home of Terry and Mary Thompson, 3116 Berrymeade Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Five Towns Music and Art Foundation Competitions for Young Artists, P.O. Box 238, Hewlett, NY 11557.
