

David Lawrence Meredith, age 72 of Garland, TX passed away, Tuesday, March 3, 2015. He was born December 26, 1942 in Washington, D.C. to Col. Roderick A. Meredith and Clara Belle Duehlm. He married Marilu Dooley on October 5, 1974 in Richardson, TX.
Growing up in a military family David lived in Washington, D.C., North Carolina, Okinawa and Puerto Rico. The family settled in Kerrville, TX where he graduated from Tivy High School. He worked 40 years as a manufacturing engineer at Texas Instruments and then at Raytheon.
David’s happiest moments were spent working his Labrador Retrievers in obedience and tracking (scent work). He served as an AKC Tracking Judge for many years. He was fascinated and intrigued by the scenting ability of dogs.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Marilu Meredith; his father-in-law; James Dooley, brother-in-law, Bobby Dooley; nephews David Dooley and Steven Dooley and their families; sister-in-laws Kitty Meredith and Pat Meredith and their families.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Russell Meredith and Ernie Meredith.
