

Francisco was a devoted and loving husband to his beloved wife of over 50 years, Mary Ann Cantu, and a proud father and grandfather. His greatest joy was his family, and he lived every day to love, protect, and inspire them. His kindness, strength, and unwavering dedication will forever be a guiding light for those who knew him best.
A man with a heart for service, Francisco proudly served in the United States Air Force before beginning a distinguished 36-year career as a police officer for the Dallas VA Police. His integrity, courage, and compassion touched countless lives and set an example of honor and commitment for his family and community.
Francisco will always be remembered as a loving family man who cherished every moment with his loved ones, a hard worker whose perseverance and dedication inspired generations, and a true servant whose life was marked by service to his country, his community, and his family.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Cantu; his children, Amie Cantu Flores (Miguel Silva), Lori Cantu Barrientos (Juan Barrientos) and Francisco Cantu, Jr. (Kala Cantu); 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and many family members who will miss him dearly. Francisco was preceded in death by his
parents, Concepcion and Jose Cantu; brothers, Julian Cantu and Patricio Cantu; and mother-in-law, Rosenda G. Codero.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and inspiration that will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
