Glenn McDonald Cate, 87, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on June 10, 2014. He was born on October 16, 1926 in Jefferson City, Tennessee to Arlie and Leola Cate. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Martha Grant Cate, and brother James Cate.
Left to cherish his memory are his children: Grant, Arlie, Bain (Jackie), and Devin (Becky); grandchildren: John, Glenn, Avery, Emory, Alesia, Sarah, Tyler, Meredith, and Audrey; siblings: Arline Thrash, and Ann Laurel Cate; and very special friend: Estelle Baron.
Glenn earned a Masters Degree from the University of Illinois in Electrical Engineering. He worked for Texas Instruments, TRW/Optron, and for Eckerd/CVS in his later years. Glenn was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp, and a member of Park Cities Baptist Church – Herbert Howard Class.
The family will be holding a private graveside service at a later date. Glenn’s final resting place will be the Dallas – Fort Worth National Cemetery.
