Although she was afflicted with a serious medical condition at birth, she lived all her life with a smile on her face and sweetness in her heart. Ingrid enjoyed making everyone laugh with her antics and simple pleasures. Along her special journey, she always had wonderful people to help reach her goals, regardless of the challenges she always had to overcome.
She attended on a regular basis Caring Pathways, where kindness and care were always displayed. Ingrid always welcomed and adored others while there, making friends along the way.
On 12th February of this year, Ingrid suffered a catastrophic brain aneurysm. Despite the valiant efforts of the excellent medical team, she passed away nine days later in the company of her beloved mother and loving sister. She fought hard and relentlessly, never letting the battle get the best of her.
She was born a wounded dove, lived the life of a wounded dove, and has ascended to heaven as a wounded dove borne on the deep love of her beloved mother, father, sister, and all others who have known and loved her.
"Do not think of me and weep; I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain...I am the gentle autumn's rain,
When you awaken in the morning's hush, I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight...I am the soft stars that shine at night
Do not think of me and cry; I am not there. I did not die.
In lieu of flowers, we invite family and friends to donate in Ingrid's name to the two places she loved, Caring Pathways and Achievement Center of Texas. Donation links are provided below.
