

He was born in Childress, Texas, on April 30, 1941. Jarvis graduated from Newman High School in Sweetwater, Texas, and attended Hardin-Simmons University.
He was married to Janet Ohlenbusch on August 11, 1960, and together they shared a devoted and joyful marriage of over 50 years until her passing.
Jarvis was a master salesman and business entrepreneur, best known as the founder and owner of South West Glazing Supply, Inc. Throughout his successful career in the glass industry, he earned the respect of colleagues and customers alike. He was an active member of the National Glass Association.
He had a deep passion for family, traveling the world, bowling, World War II history, and was a devoted fan of the Texas Rangers. Jarvis was a true character, with a wry sense of humor, a warm presence, and sharp business instincts that left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, whose legacy lives through the family he cherished deeply.
Jarvis is survived by his sons, Michael Hayes and wife Wendy, and Gregory Hayes and wife Rochelle; his grandchildren, Jennifer Wallace and Andrew Hayes; and his great-grandchildren, Ellie Wallace and Cole Wallace.
Jarvis is preceded in death by his father, John Hayes; his mother, Lois Mooney; his wife, Janet Ohlebusch Hayes; and his brother, John Hayes.
A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, June 23rd at 10:00 am at Sparkman Hillcrest Memorial Park, Dallas, Texas, in the Garden of the Cross.
