

John Michael Santi, Beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend. Born July 16, 1927 to Michael A & Antoinette Santi in Brooklyn, N.Y. Passed December 3 in Dallas, TX at home surrounded by his loving family and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister. Survived by his wife of 57 years, , son & daughter-in-law, and daughter & son-in-law, Grand-daughter, Sisters-in-law and Brother – in-law. John is also survived by nieces, nephews and a great-niece.
John proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II in Panama City Panama. His first love was his wife with his second love being cooking. He used his love of cooking, where he was the executive chef at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City from the late 50’s to early 60’s. John moved his family to Dallas, Texas where he & Fredericka started the successful Chateau Caterers for over 25 years. They have developed many trusted customers and associates over the many years of serving the Dallas area.
He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and a member of Texas Chef Association. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the Hospice caretakers, who made John’s final days peaceful.
The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, December 8 from 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Sparkman Funeral Home, 1029 S. Greenville Ave., Richardson, TX. Rosary and service will be 11:30 AM on Thursday, December 9, at 11:30 AM at St. Patrick’s Church, Dallas, TX. Followed by interment at 2:00 PM at National Cemetery, Grand Prairie. The funeral home will provide information and maps to the National Cemetery.
