Katie graduated with honors from Berkner High School and attended the University of Texas at Dallas, where she graduated summa cum laude, earning a Bachelor of Science in business administration with above a 4.0 GPA. She had a career in internet technology and worked in the financial sector as a project manager and business analyst.
Katie was the closest to her daughter, Victoria, her brother, Adam, and her beloved friends, Mary and Travis. She was deeply loved by them and will be missed by the many other friends and family members who survive her.
Services will be held at 1 pm on July 16, 2024, at Sparkman Funeral Home in Richardson, with burial to follow at Restland Cemetery. Visitation will precede these services on Monday, July 15, from 6 pm to 8 pm at Sparkman Funeral Home in Richardson.
Katie wanted everyone to dress comfortably, so we ask that everyone wear jeans and something of their favorite color. It was her wish that everyone learn each other’s favorite color, rather than requesting that people wear her favorite color, which was blue.
Katie also stated that she does not want anyone to send floral arrangements, but would welcome donations made in her memory to any of the following charities with links provided below.
