Born on December 13, 1958, Lamesa, Texas to proud parents, Ricardo Beltran Luna and David Hernandez Luna. Louisa was the last piece to complete their family with 12 older brothers and sisters. Louisa attended Lamesa High School and participated in basketball, track, hurdles and completed the cosmetology program as president her senior year. After high school she began working at His and Hers Beauty Salon where she quickly gained regular clients and created many close friendships over the years.
Louisa was an active member of Saint Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Lamesa, where she met her husband of 40 years, Robert Martinez. They married on August 3rd, 1984. They share three daughters, Lisa, Kimberly and Melissa and made countless memories living in Lamesa, Garland, Wylie and Josephine, Texas.
Louisa was a very loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She acted as head chef, family referee, chaos coordinator, head memory maker and the glue that held the family together. Louisa made sure she was active in PTA meetings, band boosters, band concerts, color guard competitions and awards banquets. As grandchildren entered her life she opened up what she affectedly called, "Gammie's Day Care." All the love and support she poured into the girls, she now poured even more into the grandchildren. Countless mickey mouse pancakes were made, many popsicle smiles were captured, trips to the park, learning to ride bikes, swimming and so many sleepovers, so much love and always one more bedtime story.
Louisa is survived by her husband, Robert, their daughters Lisa Pollard and husband Shaun of Farmersville, Kimberly Capalad and husband Christian, of Royse City and Melissa Estrada and husband Martin, of Josephine. Along with her grandchildren, Myra, Mason, Michael Estrada of Josephine, Colt and Luna of Royse City and Averie and John of Farmersville. Brothers, John Luna and wife Gloria of Lamesa, Domingo Luna and wife Mary of San Antonio and sister Delfina Luna of Lamesa along with numerous nieces and nephews.
