

He was born in Wichita, Kansas on November 2, 1944 and graduated from McAllen High School in 1963. He attended the University of Texas in Arlington. Lynn was married to Mary Beth Rude on July 29, 1967.
Lynn worked in the aerospace industry until 1972, when he started his business in waterbeds and bedroom furniture. For 10 years, he owned and operated six stores in the Dallas and Kansas City, MO area. Lynn subsequently joined Local Union 756 as a journeyman installing tradeshows and conventions and remained an active member until his death. In 2004, Lynn took a leave of absence and went to Iraq, working as a civilian contractor in Kuwait for six years.
Lynn was a Christian and a member of the Lake Dallas Church of Christ when he passed away.
Lynn had a passion for cars - especially restoring classic cars. He also loved road trips and international travel.
He is survived by his wife, Mary, of 55 years; his son Michael Timmons and wife Melody; daughter, Karolyn Fielder and husband Richard; and grandchildren, Kara Timmons, Maddy Leggett, Jackson Fielder and Benjamin Fielder. He is also survived by brother, Chuck Timmons and sisters, Wanda Abbott, Karen Whitson and Sylvia McCombs of Wichita, KS.; sister Carol Moser of Augusta, KS; and sister Joyce Meehan of Bellevue, WA.
Lynn was predeceased by his parents, Charles Lee and Garnet Lawrence Timmons and siblings, Ednalee Higley, Byron Timmons, Duane Timmons, Lyle Timmons, and Ardyce Newberry.
Funeral will be held on Saturday, July 23 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lake Dallas Church of Christ, 502 Carlisle Drive, Lake Dallas, Texas 75065.
