Matthew Aaron Floyd was born in Dallas, Texas on June 18, 1988. He lived his entire youth in Richardson, Texas finishing Terrace Elementary, Richardson Junior High and graduating from L.V. Berkner High School in 2006. He earned an Associates in Arts Degree from Richland College and a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences from the University of North Texas. After college he joined the United States Army. As a youth he earned his Eagle Scout rank.
He is survived by his parents; Melvin and Deborah Floyd, a brother; Stephen Floyd, sister; Darla Hall and her husband, Eric Hall, nephews; Jayden and Gavin Hall.
A visitation with friends and family will be held on Wednesday, July 31 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Sparkman Richardson Funeral Home. Service for Matthew will be held on Thursday at 10:00am at Sparkman Richardson Funeral Home chapel.
