the late Helen Taft Wilson and John Charles Wilson, Jr. Deeply rooted with
the importance of family and the value of each individual, Maureen spent
her existence devoted to improving the lives of everyone she encountered.
While raising four children of her own, Maureen established a career of
service performing duties as an Administrator for the governmentally
funded Women, Infants, and Children (WIC). During her tenure she impacted
the lives of numerous women and children, taking on each case as if
it was her own. The struggles of each WIC applicant had a special place in
her heart. She also held the position of Administrative Assistant in the low
income housing unit Rolling Hills Apartment Complex. Maureen’s empathetic
and loving nature did not stay in Pennsylvania after relocating her
family to Dallas. Instead, while working at Southern Methodist University,
she spearheaded campaigns for organizations including Dress for Success
and Meals on Wheels. Later, she took the position as Office Assistant for
North Dallas Community Bible Fellowship. Through each of these endeavors,
Maureen gained an extended family she never imagined.
Maureen adored arts and crafts and touched the lives of many through her
creativity. She enjoyed cooking and cleaning, and she frequently invited
friends and family into her home for home-cooked meals.
Maureen is survived by her husband, Bobby Pendleton, of McKinney, TX;
