We are heartbroken to share the unexpected passing of Pablo Corral at just 48 years old. Pablo was an incredible man known for his kind and generous heart. He made people feel welcome wherever he went. His infectious smile reflected his natural, genuine ability to bring people of all backgrounds together in impactful, beautiful ways. He lived by example, applying unwavering dedication, positivity, commitment, and doing the hard work for all of those he loved—his family, friends, and colleagues.
Pablo held so many significant roles across his life. His most cherished and successful role was that of a father. He was a loving, caring, and deeply supportive dad whose devotion to his daughter, Eliza, defined his life. Pablo showed his love through constant presence, encouragement, and an undeniable belief in her goals and dreams. He celebrated her achievements with pride, guided her with patience, and stood beside her with quiet strength through every stage of her life. Eliza was inspired to pursue a career in medicine by her father’s work in radiology and the compassion he showed in his profession. His dedication left a lasting impression, shaping her respect for patient care and service. She plans to pursue a physician assistant school after completing her undergraduate studies, honoring the example he set. Being Eliza’s father brought him his greatest joy and sense of purpose, and the bond they shared was the truest reflection of the man he was—selfless, nurturing, and full of unconditional love.
Pablo was limitless with his relationships; he had strong enduring bonds with each of his siblings and parents, always making himself available at any time of day. He took the time to celebrate the most significant moments and was uplifting in the most challenging of times. His vibrant spirit, humble personality, and tender voice were reflected in his actions, often leaving a contagious energy of hope and encouragement. Pablo was a good listener and a profound sounding board that extended to his cousins and dearest friends.
Beyond his impact on his loved ones, Pablo was prolific at many things. He pursued Polo professionally and played nationally and internationally while also excelling at the violin, granting him the opportunity to perform in England. His passion for sport that began early in life carried into his love of open ocean fishing and into his daughter Eliza’s passion for sailing. The ocean granted Pablo peace and joy every time he was on the water. He often described it as ‘going to church’. In his later life he entered the medical field, graduating at the top of his class from the Rhode Island School of Radiologic/Nuclear Medicine Technology (2001-2004). For the past twenty years Pablo’s career grew into leading roles at Southcoast Health Radiology where he was Radiology Team leader and Radiology Site Manager (2006-2026). His compassion for patient care was as important as bringing innovative radiologic technology to better serve his community at large. Pablo’s devotion to his fellow colleagues and physicians created an environment that thrived under his leadership. For any family member going through a medical condition, Pablo was instrumental in consulting with physicians to provide a more in-depth analysis. His loyalty and follow-up of one’s recovery were both sincere and heartfelt.
His love for people, his work, and the sea is something many of us will always associate with him.
Pablo leaves behind his beloved daughter, Eliza, who is currently at Tulane University. His wife Barbara, his parents, Pedro and Rosario, his brothers, Vito and Luke, and his two sisters, Adriana and Brisa.
